Important Dates
It is not far away from the start of the new season of Little A’s and I wanted to let everyone know about a couple of important dates that are coming up soon. So here we go :
August 24th (Sunday) from 8am to 12 noon – WORKING BEE at the club.
There are a few things to do to make sure we are all set for the new season. Clean up the shed and re-pack the trailer. Re-distribute the sand in the Long Jump Pits. Replace a couple of Long Jump boards. Maybe re-mark the track. So if anyone can come down at anytime during the morning of Aug 24th and help out it would be awesome. We’ll fire up the BBQ and have some snags for anyone who helps out.
September 6th – First day of new season. Yay! We’ve already had lots of enquiries from new athletes about joining our club so it looks like being a great year again for Nambour Little A’s. Word is getting around that we are a fun and family friendly club!
September 13th at Caboolture – Official Accreditation Workshop. Any parents or carers who wants to get their D or C grade accreditation this is a free workshop run by LAQ. Please contact me for more details.
And if you haven’t heard yet we have On-Line Registration available this season. Go to our Registration page and click on the On-Line Registration link. You have the choice to pay on-line with a credit card or pay later and either pay via direct bank deposit or bring a cheque or cash along to the club. Again – please let me know if you have any queries about the on-line registration.
I am also working with LAQ towards Nambour hosting a Super Coaching Clinic at our club late in October. This will be a free coaching clinic run by LAQ coaches over 2 days, and open to all athletes from the Sun Coast region. Stay tuned for more info on that one.
Only about 3 weeks to go before we kick off the new season. The committee is really looking forward to the new season and catching up with all of our Nambour Little A’s friends.
