Regional Relays – Nominate NOW!
The Regional Relay carnival is one of the two main carnivals of the season. Here’s all the details :
- Relays are being held at Wamuran Little Athletics on Saturday November 7th.
- Relays are open to all athletes from U7 to U17
- Athletes can compete in two track relays and three field events.
- Track teams need FOUR athletes to make up a team.
- Field teams are made up of two athletes (their results get added together to get the team result). We can have as many athletes in the field events as we want.
- As we are a small club, sometimes athletes have to run in mixed teams (girls and boys) or even up an age group or two, but where possible we try and make up teams so the kids are in their correct age group.
- Teams in the U9 to U17 age groups that place 1st, 2nd, or 3rd qualify to compete at the State Relay Championship in Brisbane.
Nomination cost is $2.50 per event, so $12.50 to compete in all 5 events (which we encourage). All fees go to LAQ head office.
Nominations are due Saturday October 24th AT THE LATEST. No late nominations will be accepted.
