This Weeks News – Tri Centre This Sat at Bli Bli
This Saturday is the last Little A’s meet of the year, and it is the second Tri Centre Carnival with Bli Bli and Maroochy Centres. It is being held at Bli Bli Little A’s which is at Lefoes Rd, Bli Bli. Time is 2:45PM for a 3PM start.
There will be a four event program for all athletes, followed by some water bombs and sprinklers to cool off afterwards. Bli Bli are also generously supplying a free sausage sizzle, so please support their canteen and purchase some drinks as well. Parents please note you do NOT need to bring a plate of food to share.
Bli Bli are also helping with Lions fundraising by selling Lions Christmas cakes – 1kg cakes are $12 and 1.5kg cakes are $16 – please support this great organisation if you can.
As usual parent help will be required to make this carnival run smoothly – many hands make light work!
In other news :
- Training will be on tomorrow (Weds) at the usual time of 4pm for Simone’s middle distance runners, and 4:30pm for anyone else.
- First meet back after Christmas will be on Sat 9th January at the usual time of 7:45AM at Nambour
- The LAQ Regional Carnival is fast approaching. This is the main carnival of the season and this year is at Caloundra on Feb 6 & 7, 2016. Nominations will be due on Sat Jan 23rd so start thinking about what events you would like to nominate for. Initial info on the carnival can be found on the LAQ website (http://www.laq.org.au/Competition/Events/nordic-sport-sun-coast-regional-championships-1).
And finally congrats to Mikayla, Ash, Alex, Annabelle, Kenley, Kathleen, Rob & Jono who all competed at the State Relays last Saturday in the rain down at QSAC in Brisbane. A great effort by all of you to make it to States and you all performed really well. Well done guys!
