REGIONAL RELAYS (Sat Nov 12th at Bli Bli)

Nominations for Regional Relays close on Sat Oct 29th. Nomination forms AND PAYMENT must be handed to the club by Oct 29 or you will miss out. We have quite a few who have handed in nomination forms but have NOT paid the nomination fee. No pay, no play! The nomination form is here and more info can be found here or please just ask one of the committee. If you have nominated – read the section on uniforms below please.

Here is the DRAFT event program for Relays. This is subject to change. Note also that events can be called up to 30 minutes early.

LAQ SENIOR CARNIVAL / JUNIOR PENTATHLON (Sunday 30th October – State Aths Facility, Nathan, Brisbane)

This carnival is open to all registered athletes from U9 to U17. The U9s and U10s compete in a pentathlon (5 events) and the U11s and older can choose up to 5 events to compete in. More info is HERE including the event program and nomination form. Nominations and payments are due by THIS Saturday (sorry for the late notice) – hand them into Brooke.

UNIFORMS

It was very apparent on Saturday that lots of our kids have not attached this years registration numbers and age patches to their shirts. This made it pretty difficult at the finish line electronic timing as its all based on the registration numbers. Please ensure that this seasons registration number is on the front of your shirts, the age patch is on the left sleeve, and the Jetstar patch is on the right chest.

It is also important to note that any athlete competing at an external carnival (eg Regional Relays) must be wearing bottle green shorts (or bike pants for the girls). There can be NO logo’s on these shorts, so if you are wearing green school shorts or green soccer shorts with logo’s or patterns on them then you will not be allowed to compete at external carnivals. We have plain green shorts available for $10.

Note also if you are wearing skins – they must be bottle green or black. Boys must wear shorts over their skins. If girls are just wearing skins then they have to be bottle green (just buy the bike pants!). And again, there can be no logo’s showing on skins.

Ask Rob if you are confused about the uniform requirements.
