State Relay Results

Our small band of Nambour Athletes have done really well at the State Relays yesterday.

Zach and Brendon finished 4th in their Shot Put event and 6th in the Discus which is a fantastic effort. Both boys threw season personal bests in the Shot Put and came very close in the Discus.

Cecilia represented the Suncoast Region together with 2 girls from Caloundra and 1 from D Bay in the Regional U15 Girls 4 x 100m relay. And this team WON their event by the tiny margin of 0.04 seconds. What an awesome effort – well done CC!

Unfortunately our U13 Distance relay team of Zach, Brendon, Kathleen and Cameron were disqualified. Bad luck team but that is the lottery of relay running. We’re all proud of you guys anyway.

So a great day for our small club. And it must have been a highlight to see Sally Pearson run in the Open 4x400m relay. Hope you got some autograph’s guys!
