Thanks for a great first week!

Thanks to everyone who turned up this morning for our first Centre Competition of the 2012-13 season. We had 47 children competing which is a super turn out for the first week. It was great to see so many new faces (both kids and parents!). We thought the morning went pretty smoothly considering it was week 1, and hopefully as everyone gets used to the routine the mornings will run like clockwork.

A huge thank you to the parents who helped out with age marshaling, measuring, spiking, raking, and crowd control, especially the new parents who took these jobs on with a smile. As you can see it takes lots of parents help to run the Centre Competitions and we will rely on you heavily each and every week. If there is anything we can help out with – like how to fill out the recording sheets, or how to measure the jumps – please just ask one of the committee and we will help you out.

Also another big thank you to Maureen for helping again with the Shot Put, Sean for starting, and Dan for timekeeping. We’d be lost without you!
