Regional Championships Team List

A reminder that this weekend (Sat & Sun) is the Regional Championships at Caboolture Little Athletics Centre. If you have not nominated for this carnival, then remember that there is no little athletics at Nambour on Saturday 7th Feb.

For those who have nominated, CLICK HERE for an updated team list with event times for each athlete. This now includes event numbers. Note also that some events (800m, 200m Hurdles, and some Sprint Hurdles) will be run as straight finals as noted on this list.

A few reminders for athletes competing at Regionals :

  1. Be ready for your event at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time. Arrive at least 45 minutes before your first event. Events can be called up to 30 minutes early, or of course they can also be late. If in doubt ask Maree who is our Team Manager for the carnival.
  2. If you have clashing events, Maree will handle it. Do not leave an event unless you are asked by an official (not a parent – an official). You will not miss your event – the officials will know about any clashes.
  3. UNIFORMS – athletes must be in the correct uniform. The Nambour club shirt, with your registration number on the front, age patch on the left sleeve, and Jetstar sponsor patch on the right chest or sleeve. If you do not have a Jetstar patch please let me know and we will bring some spares. Shorts must be bottle green (NOT BLACK). Girls can wear bike pants if they are bottle green. If boys wear skins or bike pants they MUST have shorts on as well. Skins or bike pants under shorts must be either bottle green or black. There can be NO LOGO’s on any shorts or bike pants. If there are logo’s on your skins or bike pants then turn them inside out. Officials will be checking for uniform breaches and they will get reported to the Team Manager. Athletes can be stopped from competing for uniform breaches. Sounds strict, but those are the rules, and they are enforced at Regional competitions.

We will have marquees set up under the large trees on the south side of the track. It is quite pleasant under the trees so it should not be too hot while waiting for events. We will also have a large water container and sunscreen, but bring your own as well.

Parents – do not forget that we must supply 4 volunteers for every Boys Discus event. Please put your hand up to help out or Maree will come around and put your hand up for you!!
